Hello, my name is Milka Gegova, and I am a self-taught artist from Plovdiv. My journey into the world of art began about eight years ago, driven by a desire to express what words sometimes fail to capture.
In my work, I dedicate myself primarily to portraiture. I prefer working with graphic media, as it allows me to focus on detail, light, and the underlying emotion within a person's gaze. To me, a portrait is not just about replicating features; it is an attempt to capture the soul and the essence of a moment.
While graphics remain my greatest passion, I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone to experiment with acrylics. These moments of exploration provide me with a sense of freedom and new energy that I translate onto the canvas. Each of my works is a reflection of my personal journey and my constant strive for self-improvement.
